Planets on Earth. Analogy and Simulation for Travel and Human Activities on Other Celestial Bodies

‘Planets on Earth’ is the 1st Day of Exogeographic Studies organised by GREAL (Geographic Research and Application Laboratory), the research centre at the European University of Rome directed by Prof. Gianluca Casagrande, dedicated to analysing the similarities between our planet and other celestial bodies, with a focus on travel, exploration and the development of human activities in extreme environments. The conference brings together experts from the academic, scientific and institutional worlds to explore topics ranging from space travel systems to infrastructure in hostile environments, right through to the future prospects of human settlement beyond Earth. Ample attention is also given to the role of geography, technology and safety in space missions.
