Congress: ‘An International Perspective on the Role of the Teacher’ – A dialogue between Europe and Latin America

The role of the teacher today is undergoing profound changes: the demand for new skills and new educational challenges are enriching the debate on the teaching profession. This conference has been organised with the aim of offering a comparative perspective between Europe and Latin America, through dialogue between scholars from Italy, Brazil and Poland. To foster a shared reflection on the profile of the contemporary teacher, analysing the evolution of the role, the critical issues and future international prospects, with particular attention to the themes of inclusion, educational innovation and initial and in-service training, within an increasingly complex and dynamic educational context.
